The Adidas Gazelle launched in 1966 as a training and indoor soccer shoe. The simple suede upper with signature three stripes became a cornerstone of British terrace culture, Britpop fashion, and hip-hop style.
The 2023-2024 "terrace revival" brought Gazelles back into mainstream fashion alongside Sambas. The Gazelle Bold (platform version) and Gazelle Indoor variants expanded the lineup for different aesthetics.
