Different marketplaces charge different fees, which can significantly impact what buyers pay and what sellers receive. Our comparison tool shows you the true costs so you can make informed decisions.

StockX Fees

Buyers: StockX does not publish a fixed buyer fee on the Verified Marketplace. It is calculated per order from the item price, your location and current market conditions, and shown before you confirm, so there is no flat figure to quote. On the separate Listings Marketplace, buyer processing is a flat 3% of the item price with a $3.95 minimum, and optional verification is $12.50. Shipping varies by size, weight and category (StockX buyer fees).

Sellers: 7% to 9% commission depending on seller level, plus a 3% payment processing fee on every sale — 12% all-in at Level 1, 10% at Level 5. StockX does not charge sellers a shipping fee. Levels are earned per calendar quarter on either a sales count or a sales value, whichever comes first: Level 2 takes 12 sales or $1,500 in a calendar quarter, Level 3 40 sales or $5,000, Level 4 200 sales or $25,000, and Level 5 800 sales or $100,000.

GOAT Fees

Sellers: 9.5% commission at seller rating 90+ with free shipping labels (15% at rating 70-89, 20% at 50-69). Optional instant cash out adds 2.9% plus a flat fee.

eBay Fees

Buyers: Usually just the listing price (shipping often included).

Sellers: 8% final value fee on sneakers at or above $100(7% with a Basic Store subscription), rising to 12.55% below that. Payment processing is already included — there is no separate charge — and the $0.30 per-order fee is waived at or above $100. eBay's Authenticity Guarantee is included in the seller fee.

Tips for Buyers

• Compare the "Buyer Total" column, not just list prices
• eBay often has the lowest buyer total due to included shipping
• Consider authentication - StockX and GOAT always authenticate, eBay authenticates items over $200
• Create a price alert to be notified when prices drop

Tips for Sellers

• Compare the "Seller Net" column to see your actual payout
• GOAT typically offers the highest payout for most sellers
• StockX can be competitive if you're a high-volume seller (Level 3-4)
• eBay has higher fees but also a larger buyer pool
