This black colorway of the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Retro released in November 2017, several months following the renowned Brooklyn artist’s first Air Jordan 4 collaboration – a grey colorway that dropped March 2017. Like its predecessor, the shoe sports an all suede upper, featuring a subtle tonal print depicting the cartoon hands of KAWS’ famous Companion figure. Those same hands are seen underneath the translucent glow-in-the-dark outsole. The artist’s signature ‘XX,’ juxtaposed above Nike’s ‘AIR’ trademark, are inscribed on the heels.
