The MSCHF TAP3 ‘Black’ represents the follow-up effort to the Brooklyn collective’s notorious ‘Satan Shoes’ Air Max 97, a 2021 collaboration with Lil Nas X that prompted its fair share of controversy. Unlike the label’s past footwear releases, this model is an original creation, highlighted by a familiar low-top shape of a classic basketball silhouette. The upper is constructed from black leather and features heat-welded TPU tape in a bright yellow finish. Marked with red MSCHF branding, the strips wrap around the forefoot and heel and extend into the shoe’s black rubber midsole.
