The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro 'Year of the Mamba' rings in the Lunar New Year with a nod to the year of the snake. The seamless synthetic upper features a purple iridescent finish with a golden serpent graphic wrapped around the lateral Swoosh. Flywire cables act like synthetic tendons to provide a locked-in fit, while an external heel counter cradles the back of the foot. This Protro model replaces the lightweight Phylon midsole with Cushlon foam, enhanced with Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot. Underpinning the sneaker is a translucent rubber outsole and a glass/carbon fiber shank plate.
