How the Worth It Score Works
The Worth It Score is a composite 0-10 rating that evaluates whether a sneaker is a good purchase right now. It combines five weighted factors to give you a single number that answers: “Should I buy this?”
Score Components
- Resale Value (25%): How the current price compares to retail. Below retail scores higher.
- Price Momentum (25%): Where our model predicts the price is heading over the next 30 days.
- Market Confidence (20%): prediction confidence combined with price stability.
- Liquidity (15%): Trading volume — how easy it is to buy and sell.
- Hype Factor (15%): Social buzz and trending signals from across the market.
Rating Tiers
- Must Cop (9.0-10.0): Exceptional value — strong buy signal across all factors.
- Great (7.5-8.9): Very good value — most factors are favorable.
- Good (5.5-7.4): Decent value — worth considering if you want the shoe.
- Fair (3.5-5.4): Neutral — no strong buy signal, consider waiting.
- Skip (0-3.4): Poor value — price is likely to drop or better options exist.
