About This Shoe
Updated Aug 4, 2026
Released in 1988, the Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’ was among the first colorways not to feature Bulls team colors. The shoe was also the first in the Jordan lineage to feature the iconic Jumpman logo, and also appeared in the brand’s first Mars Blackmon commercials. By demand from MJ himself, the iconic elephant print was integrated into the design, forever evolving the legacies of Jordan Brand and Nike. This retro from 2001 features a similar build to the original, but Nike Air branding is replaced with the Jumpman logo on the back heel.
