The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Orange Peel,’ aka ‘The International Flight,’ is a tribute to Michael Jordan’s impact on the popularity of basketball around the world. The colorway was specifically inspired by the blue and orange uniforms that Jordan wore for an exhibition game in Barcelona in August 1990 for a Nike Europe promotional tour. The design features a Sail tumbled leather upper accented by a blue and orange pattern based on Barcelona’s iconic street art, visible on the lining and through the quarter panel mesh. The shoe also includes the Jordan 5’s signature 3M reflective tongue, a black midsole with orange shark-tooth detailing and a translucent outsole underfoot.
