The Kobe 8+ AS ‘Extraterrestrial’ released in February 2013 as part of a larger Nike Basketball ‘Area 72’ collection inspired by that year’s NBA All-Star Game in Houston. The low-top features a swirling design in orange and white, meant to evoke the surface of alien planet. The one-piece engineered mesh upper rest atop a contrasting white midsole with encapsulated an Nike Zoom unit for lightweight cushioning.
