About This Shoe
Updated Aug 4, 2026
The New Balance 57/40 ‘Rust Oxide Blue Groove’ showcases sharply contrasting hues on a modernized version of the vintage 574 silhouette, built on a slimmer last and accented with exaggerated details. The upper combines a royal blue textile base with rust-colored suede overlays and an oversized ‘N’ logo in cracked brown leather. Lightweight cushioning is provided by a stacked midsole in opposing orange and grey hues. Underfoot, the lightly speckled black rubber outsole features a modified tread inspired by the road/trail traction pattern of the original.
